What conditions help you go deeper — in conversation, in thought, in your own life?
I stopped asking 'how are you' and started asking 'what's been on your mind lately?' People always have something.
Long walks with no destination. Something about movement without agenda frees the mind.
Eating without a screen. Even once a day. It sounds simple but it creates a pocket of actual presence.
Protecting one evening a week from plans. Not for anything specific — just space. My partner and I call it the unscheduled evening.
I started reading physical books again. There's something about the lack of notifications that creates a different quality of attention.
